The Better Money Company Secures $10 Million Seed Funding for Stablecoin Clearinghouse

Former a16z crypto investor Sam Broner has announced the establishment of The Better Money Company with university friend Adam Zuckerman. According to Odaily, the company has successfully completed a $10 million seed funding round, led by a16z crypto, with participation from BoxGroup and Sunflower Capital. Angel investors, including Circle co-founder Sean Neville and former Microsoft executive Charlie Songhurst, also contributed. The Better Money Company aims to create a stablecoin clearinghouse, offering clients low-cost services for exchanging various dollar-pegged tokens. Broner, who spent over two years at a16z crypto focusing on stablecoin investments, and Zuckerman, who previously worked at Latham & Watkins and served as general counsel at Eigen Labs, founded the company in November last year. The company has secured commitments from issuers such as Paxos, Stripe's Bridge, and MoonPay, and plans to support all tokens compliant with the enacted Genius Act, excluding USDT. The U.S. version, USAT, remains unaffected. While the product is not yet publicly available, it is expected to be accessible to clients in the coming weeks.
