Animoca Brands Appoints New General Counsel

According to Foresight News, Animoca Brands has announced the appointment of Jamii Quoc as its General Counsel. Quoc will play a crucial role in expanding the capabilities of the legal and compliance team to support the company's growth and drive the next phase of organizational maturity. Additionally, Quoc has joined the executive committee of Animoca Brands. Quoc joined Animoca Brands in 2022 as the Head of Legal for Business and Mergers & Acquisitions. She is also a member of the Hong Kong government's Web3 regulatory group, Web3 Harbour, and other industry associations. With 25 years of legal experience in both private practice and in-house environments as an M&A/PE lawyer, Quoc previously served as the General Counsel at Meridian Capital. There, she led the legal team in mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, securities compliance, dispute resolution, and restructuring. Before her tenure at Meridian Capital, Quoc was a partner in the mergers and acquisitions practice at Kirkland & Ellis.
