Vitalik Buterin has outlined potential future models for on-chain mechanism design. This approach is suitable for creating a 'decentralized execution layer.' Additionally, Buterin suggests decentralized, diverse, and non-tokenized preference settings, such as anonymous voting with MACI to prevent collusion, to maximize intrinsic motivation and avoid token holders gaining control.
