U.S. Advances Tokenized Securities with SEC Approval

The United States is making strides in the development of tokenized securities, with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) having approved a three-year tokenization trial by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) subsidiary, DTC, in December last year. According to Ming Pao, this initiative has garnered global attention. Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and CEO of Consensys, expressed optimism during an interview that the tokenization of U.S. securities could become a reality within two years. He also highlighted Hong Kong as a promising location for advancing tokenized securities.
