South Africa's gold production in January experienced a year-on-year decline of 0.7%, according to Jin10. In contrast, the production of platinum group metals saw a significant increase of 10.8% compared to the same period last year. Overall, the country's total mining output rose by 4.6% year-on-year in January. Additionally, the gold production figures for December were revised to show a 2.0% year-on-year increase, up from the previously reported 1.1% growth.
