CK Hutchison Reports Profit Decline Amid Vodafone Merger Impact

CK Hutchison Holdings reported a profit of 11.84 billion HKD for the previous year, marking a 31% decrease compared to the prior year. According to RTHK, the company's underlying profit increased by approximately 7% to 22.31 billion HKD. The company declared a final dividend of 1.602 HKD per share, with a total annual dividend of 2.312 HKD, reflecting annual increases of 6% and 5%, respectively. The group noted the completion of its UK telecommunications business merger with Vodafone UK, which resulted in a one-time non-cash loss and related impacts exceeding 10.9 billion HKD. However, the group emphasized that this does not affect its cash flow, cash balance, or dividend distribution. Last year, CK Hutchison's revenue rose by over 6% to nearly 507.3 billion HKD. The retail sector, the largest contributor, saw a 10% increase to nearly 209.3 billion HKD. Revenue from ports and related services grew by 8% to nearly 48.9 billion HKD, while infrastructure revenue increased by 6% to nearly 58.8 billion HKD. CK Hutchison Group Telecom's revenue surged by 15% to over 101.3 billion HKD.
