Thailand Considers Reducing Visa-Free Stay to 30 Days for Foreign Tourists

Thailand is contemplating a reduction in the visa-free stay period for foreign tourists from 60 days to 30 days. According to Ming Pao, this decision follows reports of foreign visitors engaging in illegal work or scams after entering the country without a visa. The visa policy committee, comprising the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant agencies, reviewed the current policy and concluded that the 60-day visa-free period exceeds typical tourism needs.
