Aster Delays Unlock of 400 Million Team ASTER Tokens to September 17, 2027

Aster said the unlock date for 400 million ASTER tokens allocated to the team has been delayed from September 17, 2026, to September 17, 2027. According to Foresight News, the tokens were originally scheduled to begin unlocking at a rate of 10 million per month on September 17, 2026. Aster said the change will not affect ASTER's buyback-and-burn mechanism. The company said each ASTER repurchased will still be matched by an equal amount of tokens burned from reserves, and team token allocations will be burned first.
