Stone Therapeutics' SYS 6010 Added To China's Breakthrough Therapy List Again

Stone Therapeutics said SYS 6010 has again been included on China's National Medical Products Administration breakthrough therapy list, with the proposed indication for recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma that has failed prior immunotherapy and platinum-based chemotherapy, according to ETNet. The company said SYS 6010 is an antibody-drug conjugate targeting epidermal growth factor receptor. It is made by linking a humanized anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody to a topoisomerase I inhibitor payload through a cleavable linker, and is designed to bind EGFR on tumour cells, enter the cells and release the cytotoxic payload to fight cancer.
