STOCKS | Ford Recalls Nearly 149,000 Mustangs in the U.S. Over Ground Terminal Risk

Ford has filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 148,663 Mustang vehicles in the United States. According to Sina Finance, the filing says engine-bay wiring harness ground ring terminals may fracture due to metal fatigue, which could cause a loss of drive power, failure of one or both front headlights, windshield washer pump stoppage, air-conditioning failure, or engine cooling fan stoppage. Ford said about 1% of the affected vehicles are believed to actually have the defect and said it has not received any accident or injury reports related to the issue. The company plans to mail interim owner notification letters from August 31 to September 4, with final repair notices expected to be sent in the first quarter of 2027 and repair parts expected to arrive around March 2027.
