Starknet Community Approves v0.14.0 Update for September Launch

According to PANews, the Starknet community has approved the v0.14.0 update proposal, scheduled to go live on the mainnet on September 1, 2025. This update marks a significant milestone in decentralization. The new version introduces a multi-sequencer architecture and Tendermint consensus mechanism, along with a pre-confirmation feature for sub-second user experience. It will support multiple sequencers taking turns to produce blocks and operate the consensus mechanism. Additionally, the update introduces a transaction state 'pre-confirmation,' significantly enhancing transaction processing speed. The fee market, based on EIP-1559, aims to optimize resource pricing, with a minimum fee set at 3 gFRI. The upgrade is expected to require approximately 15 minutes of downtime.
