U.S. Dollar Index Sees Slight Increase Against Major Currencies

According to ChainCatcher, the U.S. Dollar Index, which measures the dollar against six major currencies, rose by 0.06% on December 18, closing at 98.425 in the foreign exchange market. The exchange rate for 1 euro was 1.1725 dollars, down from the previous day's 1.1745 dollars. The British pound rose slightly to 1.3386 dollars from 1.3378 dollars. The dollar was exchanged for 155.52 Japanese yen, a decrease from 155.63 yen the previous day. Against the Swiss franc, the dollar was at 0.794, down from 0.7953. The exchange rate for the Canadian dollar was 1.3781, slightly lower than the previous day's 1.3789. Lastly, the dollar was exchanged for 9.2846 Swedish krona, down from 9.2984.
