A-Share Market Ends 2025 with Mixed Index Performance

According to PANews, the A-share market concluded 2025 with mixed results across its three major indices. The Shanghai Composite Index achieved an impressive 11-day consecutive rise, marking a standout performance for the year. The indices recorded a second consecutive year of gains, with the Shanghai Composite Index rising by 18.41%, the Shenzhen Component Index increasing by 29.87%, and the ChiNext Index surging by 49.57%, making it the most notable performer. Several sectors experienced active rotation, including computing hardware, non-ferrous metals, banking, battery supply chains, innovative pharmaceuticals, commercial aerospace, and robotics. Market trading remained robust, with daily transaction volumes consistently exceeding one trillion yuan. The combined annual transaction volume for the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets surpassed 400 trillion yuan, representing a growth of over 60% and setting a new historical record. Individual stocks also showed remarkable performance, with the top three gainers being Shangwei New Materials, which rose by 1821.41%, Tianpu Shares, which increased by 1662.49%, and N Hengdongguang, which climbed by 878.16%. Additionally, several leading technology stocks, including Shenghong Technology, New Yisheng, and Zhongji Xuchuang, saw their annual gains exceed threefold.
