Samsung Display Considers Expanding OLED Production for Apple's Foldable iPhones

Samsung Display is evaluating an expansion of its OLED panel production capacity to support Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone models. According to Jin10, the company is considering investing in new folding OLED production equipment at its A4 factory in Asan, South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. The focus will be on upgrading the backplane processes, including the thin-film transistor (TFT) production line. The overall direction has been set, and once the internal review of the investment scale is completed, the related capital expenditure is expected to commence in the second quarter of this year.
