A severe winter storm is expected to hit the U.S. East Coast, leading to the cancellation of over 5,000 flights, according to CNBC. According to Jin10, airlines have waived ticket change and cancellation fees for airports from Virginia to Maine. Flight tracking company FlightAware reports that approximately two-thirds of inbound flights and 40% of outbound flights at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport were canceled on February 22. The situation is anticipated to worsen on February 23.
