Japan Considers Easing Restrictions on Weapon Exports

Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party and the Japan Restoration Party have submitted a proposal to Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi advocating for the removal of five types of restrictions on weapon exports. According to Jin10, the proposal suggests allowing the transfer of weapons with lethal capabilities in principle. The Japanese government plans to review this proposal and may revise the relevant guidelines as early as this spring.
