Citigroup Economist Predicts South Korea's GDP Growth with Supplementary Budget

Citigroup economist Jin-Wook Kim has projected that a supplementary budget of 15 trillion Korean won could boost South Korea's GDP by 0.11% to 0.21% over four quarters. According to Jin10, this budget may be introduced before the local elections on June 3. Kim suggests that the additional funds could be allocated to fuel tax reductions and capping oil product prices, while also providing support to low-income workers and the transportation sector.
