ARK Invest and Glassnode Compare Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana in Decentralization Report

ARK Invest and Glassnode released a report titled "The Decentralization Spectrum" that compares three blockchain networks across auditability, security, governance, ownership, and six measurable dimensions. According to PANews, the report says Bitcoin and Ethereum each need three entities to reach a critical control threshold, while Solana needs 19. The report says Bitcoin miners can exit 1% of their position in about 30 seconds, while Ethereum staking of the same size may take weeks under stress. It also says Bitcoin nodes are the most evenly distributed, with 63% running through Tor, while Ethereum relies on cloud providers, with about 20% of nodes hosted on AWS. Solana is described as running nearly all of its infrastructure in data centers by design. In the six-dimension scoring, Bitcoin ranked highest in auditability, ownership distribution, and geographic resilience, Ethereum ranked in the middle, and Solana traded decentralization for performance and coordination speed.
