Predictions for Cryptocurrency ETFs in 2025

According to Odaily, Nate Geraci, President of The ETF Store, recently shared his predictions for ten cryptocurrency-related ETFs in 2025. He forecasts that the asset size of spot Bitcoin ETFs will surpass that of physical gold ETFs, assuming Bitcoin prices do not plummet. Additionally, he anticipates the approval of options trading for spot Ethereum ETFs and the allowance for physical creation/redemption of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. Approval for staking in spot Ethereum ETFs is also expected. Geraci predicts the launch of the Bitwise Bitcoin Standard Company ETF, with its asset management scale exceeding $1 billion. He foresees the introduction of at least 50 other cryptocurrency-related ETFs, including options-based products like covered call ETFs and defined outcome ETFs, as well as stock ETFs denominated in Bitcoin and 'Bitcoin Bond' ETFs. Furthermore, he expects the approval of spot Solana and XRP ETFs, along with the approval of Bitwise and Grayscale crypto index ETFs. Lastly, Geraci predicts that Vanguard will allow brokerage clients to gain exposure to spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
