Institutional Adoption Of Bitcoin ETF Increases Under Trump Administration

According to Odaily, recent data indicates a significant rise in institutional adoption of BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, amid a favorable stance towards Bitcoin by the Trump administration. In the fourth quarter of 2024, 1,041 institutions reported holding IBIT, marking a 55% increase from the 672 institutions in the third quarter. Additionally, institutions doubled their Bitcoin holdings to 166,000 BTC during this period. The proportion of holdings by reported institutions rose to 30% in the fourth quarter, up from 19% in the third quarter, reflecting a 58% increase.
