U.S. Unemployment Claims and PPI Show Decline in April

According to PANews, the number of initial unemployment claims in the United States for the week ending May 10 reached 229,000, matching expectations. The previous figure was revised from 228,000 to 229,000. Additionally, the Producer Price Index (PPI) for April recorded an annual rate of 2.4%, marking the third consecutive monthly decline and the lowest level since September of the previous year. The monthly PPI for April showed a decrease of 0.5%, the lowest since April 2020, significantly below the market expectation of a 0.2% increase.
