Ripple Maintains Private Status, Focuses on Growth Through Acquisitions

According to ChainCatcher, Ripple President Monica Long has stated that the company has no plans to pursue an initial public offering (IPO) and will continue to operate privately. Ripple aims to grow through product development and acquisitions. Long emphasized that Ripple's financial position is strong, negating the need to access capital markets through a public listing, and the company is capable of investing in its development. Monica Long's comments follow Ripple's completion of a $500 million funding round in November 2025, which valued the company at approximately $40 billion. Investors in this round included Fortress Investment Group, Citadel Securities, and several crypto-focused funds. While Long mentioned that the investment terms were favorable to Ripple, she did not elaborate on the specifics. The report also highlighted Ripple's acquisitions in 2025, which included prime broker Hidden Road, stablecoin payment platform Rail, treasury management system GTreasury, and digital asset wallet and custody company Palisade. The total acquisition amount was nearly $4 billion. Ripple disclosed that by November of last year, its payment business had processed transactions exceeding $95 billion, with products continuing to expand around enterprise-level digital asset infrastructure.
