Trump: Global tariffs to be raised from 10% to 15%

In a statement, Trump declared that yesterday's Supreme Court ruling on tariffs was absurd and clumsy. He stated that, as President of the United States, he would immediately raise the existing 10% global tariffs imposed on many countries to a fully legal and legally tested 15%. Many of these countries have been "exploiting" the United States for decades without any punishment. Yesterday, Trump signed a new tariff document imposing a 10% import tariff on all countries. The announcement stipulates that within 150 days, a 10% import tariff will be imposed on goods imported into the United States, taking effect at 12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time on February 24th.
