The World Economic Forum (WEF) is reportedly considering a proposal to reduce the size of its 28-member board, according to recent reports. According to Jin10, the decision could be made as early as this summer during the board's biannual in-person meeting. Sources indicate that the Swiss Federal Supervisory Authority for Foundations (FSAH) has expressed support for streamlining the board, describing it as a prudent move.
In a statement, the WEF emphasized its commitment to strong governance and stated that it will continue to enhance this mechanism as the forum evolves as a leading platform for global dialogue and cooperation. However, the organization clarified that there are currently no plans for discussions or decisions on the matter.
