Zondacrypto, a Polish cryptocurrency exchange, is currently embroiled in a controversy involving regulatory issues, political donations, and alleged connections to Russian funds, according to a report by POLITICO. The exchange's CEO, Przemysław Kral, revealed that the company possesses a wallet containing approximately 4,500 BTC, valued at around $330 million. However, the company cannot access these assets because the former head, Sylwester Suszek, did not transfer the private keys during the 2021 transition and has been missing for several years. According to a previous report by AP, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk accused Zondacrypto of being backed by 'Russian funds' and of having funded politicians related to Poland's former national conservative government, as well as the CPAC event scheduled to be held in Poland in 2025.
