Amazon to invest up to $4 billion in artificial intelligence company Anthropic

Odaily Planet Daily News Amazon will invest up to US$4 billion in artificial intelligence company Anthropic, becoming an important partner in its bid to become a major player in the field of generative artificial intelligence. As part of the investment, Amazon will take a minority stake in Anthropic. Anthropic will move much of its software to Amazon Web Services data centers and use AWS chips to train models used to power chatbots and other applications. In addition to accessing Amazon's computing power, Anthropic will receive an infusion of capital to help cover the huge costs required to train and run large-scale artificial intelligence models. According to previous news, in August this year, artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced that it had received an additional US$100 million in investment from South Korean telecom giant SK Telecom.
