According to Foresight News, EigenLayer has announced that it will initiate a phased launch of its mainnet in the coming weeks. Before the mainnet launch, EigenLayer will test all changes on the testnet and is currently migrating the final EigenLayer testnet version to Holesky, which will be operational soon.
Next, the EigenLayer Web application and all contracts on the mainnet will be paused to facilitate controlled deployment and onboarding of operators on the network. The temporary suspension of deposits and withdrawals will help ensure a smooth transition. Thirdly, operators will gradually register on the mainnet. Fourth, EigenLayer will release EigenDA, and operators will begin choosing to join EigenDA at this stage.
Fifth, the EigenLayer Web application will be updated, including a new staker dashboard and operator discovery page. Once this phase is complete, the staking, deposit, and withdrawal functions will be re-enabled. The sixth phase will focus on promoting the emergence of the AVS ecosystem.
