In documents filed on April 23 with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington in Seattle, former Washington prison warden Robert Palmquist said that if CZ is sentenced to prison, he will "most likely" serve his sentence at FDC SeaTac. Palmquist served as the facility's warden from 2003 to 2009, describing the prison as "poor in natural light" and understaffed due to the limited number of prisoners.
Palmquist claimed that if CZ was incarcerated, his wealth and status as a public figure would put his physical and mental health at risk, including but not limited to theft and extortion.
FDC Seatac has a total of 794 inmates. It has previously housed a member of the Proud Boys who was accused of being involved in the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, and a "crypto-anarchist" named Jim Bell. Bell was released in 2012 and was charged with tax evasion in the 1990s for "political assassinations." (Cointelegraph)
