Apple is in talks with OpenAI and Google to bring AI features to iOS 18

Apple has restarted talks with OpenAI to use the startup’s technology to power some new features coming to the iPhone later this year, according to people familiar with the matter. The two companies have begun discussing the terms of a possible deal and how OpenAI’s features will be integrated into Apple’s next iPhone operating system, iOS 18. The company could end up reaching an agreement with both OpenAI and Google, or choosing another supplier entirely.
