Meta Platforms faces a hefty fine from the European Union for allegedly dominating the classifieds market, according to people familiar with the matter. EU regulators will accuse Facebook's parent company of linking its free marketplace service to the social network to undercut its rivals. The EU could make a decision as early as next month, in what would be one of the last investigations overseen by outgoing EU competition chief Margrethe Vestager, the report said. (FT)
