The Compound community put forward a proposal on "increasing the WETH supply cap in the USDC Comet market"

Paul J. Lei, protocol project manager of DeFi risk manager Gauntlet, submitted a proposal in the Compound community, proposing to increase the supply cap of WETH on the Compound III (Comet) market by 100%. Compound III will have a supply cap of 75,000 WETH ($97 million) when it launches on the Comet USDC version 3 market. Data from the Comet dashboard shows that supply is only 14 WETH ($18,000) away from capping. If Lei’s proposal is approved, the cap would increase to 150,000 WETH ($194 million).
