According to Odaily, Sweden's Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer has called for increased efforts by police, tax authorities, and law enforcement agencies to seize criminal assets, with a particular focus on cryptocurrency holdings. Legislation that came into effect last November allows authorities to confiscate property without needing to prove an individual's involvement in a crime. This means that if authorities suspect someone of illegally acquiring cryptocurrency and the individual cannot explain its origin, police and other agencies have the right to seize these assets. Dennis Dioukarev, a member of the Sweden Democrats, supports this seizure initiative and has proposed transferring confiscated Bitcoin to Sweden's central bank to establish a national strategic Bitcoin reserve.
