Xinhua News Agency forwarded a notice from WeChat Security Center: Be wary of pyramid schemes and fraud perpetrated under the guise of blockchain virtual currencies and stablecoins.

Xinhua News Agency reposted a previous security alert from WeChat's Security Center, issuing the following security warning: "Recently, the WeChat platform has received user complaints that some WeChat accounts are involved in illegal and criminal activities such as organizing pyramid schemes and fraud within WeChat groups, or have been permanently restricted from logging in. These activities use pretexts such as the unfreezing of national assets, national policies and projects, as well as blockchain virtual currencies and stablecoins, to lure users into joining WeChat groups with the promise of high returns. Within these groups, users are encouraged to invite others, post unknown links to guide users to download fraudulent apps, conduct daily check-ins, and participate in brainwashing activities such as meetings and courses, ultimately committing fraud. These actions seriously infringe upon users' property rights."
