Jurassic World Enters The Sandbox Metaverse in Exciting New Partnership
Fans of the iconic “Jurassic World” franchise can now step into a digital version of their favourite dinosaur sanctuary, thanks to a new collaboration between The Sandbox, Universal Products & Experiences, and Amblin Entertainment.
The partnership is set to bring an immersive dinosaur experience to the virtual world of The Sandbox, combining the excitement of Jurassic World with the freedom of the metaverse.
Dinosaur Preservation in The Sandbox
The first experience to emerge from this collaboration in the Ethereum-based metaverse game is titled 'Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve.'
Set in a prehistoric sanctuary located in Arizona, players will be able to join the Dinosaur Protection Group, tasked with exploring the park, collecting dinosaur species, and completing various quests.
This digital world invites fans to interact with dinosaurs in a way that no movie could match.
As part of this launch, The Sandbox will introduce new immersive experiences, digital collectibles, and interactive games to the platform.
The game, which will be a major feature in The Sandbox’s Alpha Season 5, is set to go live later this month.
Fans Get the Chance to Own Virtual Land
The collaboration also extends beyond gameplay, offering fans a chance to purchase virtual land in The Sandbox’s metaverse starting in April 2025.
Virtual land can be bought using SAND, the platform’s native token, and will give buyers the ability to create their own experiences within the metaverse.
Premium land owners will be given a special Creator Asset Pack, including digital dinosaurs and props to enhance their creations.
The Metaverse Meets Dinosaur Adventure

Creating a New Dinosaur Adventure in the Metaverse
In this digital version of the dinosaur sanctuary, players will take on the role of a member of the Dinosaur Protection Group.
They’ll be responsible for nurturing dinosaur eggs and ensuring the dinosaurs grow into full adults.
The dinosaurs will mature through 'Jurassic Points' earned by completing tasks like feeding and cleaning.
There are 10 types of dinosaur eggs available, with half being free-to-play herbivorous dinosaurs, and the other half being premium carnivorous dinosaurs, which are available for purchase.
Both eggs and dinosaurs are issued as limited-edition NFTs.
The eggs have gone live and are ready to hatch (mint).
A Packed Season Full of New Experiences
This partnership is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting season for The Sandbox.
In addition to ‘Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve’, the upcoming Alpha Season 5 will feature over 40 new experiences, including collaborations with other major franchises such as ‘Attack on Titan’, ‘The Smurfs’, and ‘The Terminator’.
These new experiences will be part of a six-week event, offering fans more opportunities to explore the metaverse in unique ways.
The new season will also highlight improvements to The Sandbox’s game creation tools, including better character animations and a new ability system.
These upgrades will enable players to access exciting features such as flying or double-jumping, further enhancing the immersive experience.
Major Rewards for Players in the New Season
The Sandbox is offering substantial rewards for players throughout the upcoming season.
Over $1 million worth of SAND tokens and more than 50 NFTs will be up for grabs through the in-game battle pass.

Jurassic World Rebirth Premiere Adds to the Excitement
