Last night, @HueHubOfficial Huehub's Fair mint went online, triggering a wave of community Fud and decline. The reasons are ultimately two: One is the mismatch between expectations and reality; the other is that everyone does not understand the RGB++ protocol enough. This Thread will talk about where the mismatch in expectations lies, where the deviation in the understanding of the protocol lies, and why I am more determined to mint after seeing the community sentiment last night. The following is a detailed explanation:
First of all, everyone expected Huehub to achieve not a Fair Mint tool, but a second RGB++ asset with a consensus, and then everyone started a fight, and then made money by pulling up the market, so that some people would want Hue to restrict the deployment of assets. However, this is obviously impossible, because the protocol asset standard is open, and this kind of centralized restriction is meaningless. Even if Hue does not do it, others will make open mint tools. And I think it is fatal for an infrastructure DEX to do this kind of centralized restriction. In fact, the consensus of the second RGB++ asset has been formed, but it was not formed from the beginning as expected. Instead, it was blank when the webpage was opened and faced with the Mint list. This difference in expectations led to the generation of Fud emotions and the market decline.
The second point is also more critical. Everyone has not yet felt the significance of the RGB++ protocol. Last night's Fair Mint reminded many people of the time when BRC-20 was minted and then cut. Many people understand RGB++ as playing from the second-layer ecology, so they wonder why they don’t play assets from Nervos, but spend such a high cost to cast on the Bitcoin mainnet. Isn’t this a waste of Nervos’ design?
However, in fact, the purpose of the RGB++ protocol itself is to serve the main network assets, to issue assets with the help of Bitcoin's strong consensus, and then to bring the main network assets to the UTXO isomorphic chain (currently only Nervos) in a safe and decentralized manner to achieve programmability. But it is obviously difficult for everyone to experience this process under the current gameplay, and there are two main reasons for this:
First, there is no perception of the isomorphic binding process, which is indeed not easy to understand, but I think the markings on the Nervos browser are clear. Click on an RGB++ transaction in the transaction history of the joyid wallet, and you will find that there are at least two TXs, the second one is the isomorphic transaction on Nervos. If you click on this transaction, you will see the detailed information of the isomorphism in the browser, which will indicate the encapsulated main network TX, as well as witness information, etc.
The second reason is also the most important one, that is, the current Nervos ecological infrastructure is seriously insufficient, there is not even a decent DEX, so that after the assets are isomorphized to the second layer, they cannot be played. This leads to the physical feeling that everyone is no different from the inscription, deployment-Mint-left there, and there is no subsequent gameplay. This requires a little time to develop slowly, maybe at least a month, and after the basic DAPP appears, the gameplay of the second layer will gradually begin.
This can also answer a question for some people, that is, why do we have to fight for assets from the first layer instead of directly on Nervos. It's very simple. Nervos does not have the consensus to carry so many native assets. There were hundreds of Tokens on Nervos before, and none of them were hyped up. Do you think you can hype up the 101st one? Otherwise, the ecological construction will not have to start almost from scratch.
Finally, why am I still confident? It’s very simple. The fundamentals haven’t changed. Fud mainly comes from short-term sentiment, and the consensus on the second asset was formed yesterday, so I started minting decisively and held the previous seal firmly. There is a saying that goes, the fundamentals are fine, and the group friends are all scolding, so you can get on board.
