Tesla's journey into digital assets began in January 2021 with a $1.5 billion Bitcoin acquisition, which drew mixed reactions from the investment community. Glover also highlighted that the approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has legitimized Bitcoin as a treasury asset, with BTC holdings typically generating yields in the 3%–4% range. The US spot Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated nearly $116 billion in total assets, marking them as one of the most successful ETF launches in history, according to ARK Invest.
