U.S. Marines Accused of Theft in Tokyo

Two members of the U.S. Marine Corps stationed at the Iwakuni Air Base have been referred to prosecutors by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police on Friday, the 13th, for alleged theft and trespassing. According to Ming Pao, the two marines are suspected of breaking into a restaurant in Tokyo's Shinjuku Kabukicho district to steal money. Investigators have also indicated that the pair may be linked to over a dozen theft cases across the country since last autumn, with the total amount involved exceeding 10 million yen.
