Iran Asserts Right to Defend Territory Amid Ongoing Tensions

Iran's Vice President Hossein Zadeh stated on March 10 that the country will continue to defend its national territory, emphasizing it as a 'legitimate right and duty.' According to Jin10, Zadeh highlighted Iran's preference for resolving crises through dialogue and clarified that the nation does not intend to attack neighboring countries. On the same day, Iran's Islamic Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, declared that Iran does not seek a ceasefire and must firmly retaliate against 'aggressors.' Additionally, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Gharibabadi, noted that the country's current priority is 'decisive defense,' asserting that the cessation of war is within Iran's control.
