Circle Calls for EU to Accelerate DLT Framework Reforms

Circle has called on European Union policymakers to expedite reforms to the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) framework and expand the use of stablecoins in securities settlement. According to NS3.AI, Circle highlighted that the existing regulations continue to limit liquidity and hinder institutional adoption. In feedback submitted on March 20 regarding the European Commission’s Market Integration Package, Circle emphasized the need for the DLT Pilot Regime to have adaptive thresholds and a more defined route towards establishing permanent regulations.
