Solidity Developer Survey Highlights AI Usage and Trust Issues

The Solidity team has released its 2025 developer survey, gathering responses from 1,095 developers across 87 countries. According to Foresight News, 70% of respondents are smart contract developers, 12% are auditors or security experts, and 18% are students. Half of the participants have two years or less experience with Solidity, and 49% use it daily. The top three countries represented are India with 205 respondents, Nigeria with 148, and the United States with 83. Additionally, 74% of respondents are aged between 18 and 34. The survey reveals that 88% of users utilize AI tools at least once a month, with 58% using them daily. However, 45% express distrust in AI outputs. Developers are adopting AI tools faster than they are building trust in them. The most common AI applications are testing (61%), writing code documentation (59%), and learning code libraries (58%).
