According to the announcement from Binance, Binance Futures will adjust the funding interval for several USDⓈ-Margined TradFi Perpetual Contracts from every eight hours to every four hours, effective from 2026-09-04 08:15 (UTC). The funding cap and floor for the affected contracts will also be changed to ± 1.00%. The update applies to KODEX200USDT, NAVERUSDT, LGELECTRONICSUSDT, HANMIUSDT, SAMSUNGEMUSDT, CXMTUSDT, ZHONGJIUSDT, CSOPSAMSUNG2LUSDT, and CSOPSKHYNIX2LUSDT. Binance also listed the funding rate schedule in UTC, showing a maximum funding rate of +2.00% / -2.00% at 2026-09-04 08:00, followed by +1.00% / -1.00% at 2026-09-04 12:00, 2026-09-04 16:00, and 2026-09-04 20:00. The notice said the contracts are exempted from the rule that would otherwise adjust the funding interval from every four hours to every one hour when the previous funding rate settlement reaches the cap or floor. Binance added that a separate announcement will be made if it decides to change the funding interval again.
The exchange said the notice is issued under Binance Exchange Rule 17 and applies to the listed perpetual contracts only. It also stated that, based on market risk conditions, Binance may adjust the specifications of the affected Futures contracts from time to time. These specifications include the funding fee, tick size, maximum leverage, initial margin, and maintenance margin requirements. Binance said that if there is any discrepancy between this notice and any Futures FAQ, the notice will take priority as the most accurate and updated information.
