Web3.0 Security Report Reveals $753 Million Losses in Q3 2024

According to Foresight News, security firm CertiK has released its latest report titled 'Hack3d: Q3 2024 Web3.0 Security Report.' The report highlights that the third quarter of 2024 witnessed 155 security incidents, resulting in losses amounting to $753 million. This marks an approximate 9.5% increase in total losses compared to the previous quarter. The report identifies phishing attacks and private key leaks as the primary causes of asset losses during this period, accounting for $668 million of the total losses. As of the end of the third quarter, the cumulative losses for 2024 have approached $2 billion.
