According to Odaily, KKR and U.S. investment firm Energy Capital Partners (ECP) have entered into a strategic partnership valued at $50 billion. This collaboration aims to accelerate the development of data centers, power generation, and transmission infrastructure to support the global expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing.
The partnership will focus on facilitating large-scale model training, tuning, and inference across various regions. KKR and ECP plan to work with utility companies, power producers, and data center developers to expedite the development of hyperscale enterprise data center campuses. KKR will leverage its existing infrastructure, real estate strategies, and insurance accounts to fund the partnership, while ECP will contribute through its current and future infrastructure capital pools.
