OCBC Bank To Withdraw Services For Overseas Clients

According to BlockBeats, OCBC Bank in Singapore has announced plans to discontinue services for its overseas clients. The bank's Global Personal Banking division has sent emails to its customers, informing them of the need to confirm their residency in Singapore by December 15, 2024, to retain their accounts. Failure to respond by the specified date will result in certain restrictions being applied to the accounts, such as allowing only withdrawals and not deposits, followed by account closure. Once an account is closed, any financial arrangements linked to it will also be terminated. Customers who have already confirmed their residency in Singapore with OCBC Bank are advised to disregard this email notification.
