South Korean Authorities Granted Access To Presidential Residence For Arrest Warrant Execution

According to BlockBeats, on January 14, the South Korean High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office announced that the 55th Guard of the Capital Defense Command has approved entry for personnel from the investigation office and the National Investigation Headquarters of the Police Agency to execute an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk-yeol at the presidential residence. The investigation office stated that in the afternoon, they sent an official document to the 55th Guard requesting approval for personnel from the investigation office, the National Investigation Headquarters of the Police Agency, and the Ministry of National Defense Investigation Headquarters to enter the residence to carry out the arrest warrant for Yoon Suk-yeol. The 55th Guard subsequently responded with approval for entry. Under the Presidential Security Act, the 55th Guard is part of the Presidential Security Service, which manages and is responsible for the security tasks surrounding the presidential residence.
