Ethereum's Development Team Achieves Significant Progress in 2025

According to Foresight News, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently shared on the X platform that the Ethereum team has made remarkable contributions this year. Their efforts have focused on ensuring the long-term scalability, decentralization, and resilience of Ethereum. These initiatives are expected to be ready for implementation as the short-term expansion roadmap reaches its key milestones. Buterin highlighted a new proposal from Ethereum developers for a minimal zkVM called "leanVM." This development has been optimized for XMSS aggregation and recursion. Compared to Cairo, leanVM reduces commitment costs significantly through its four-instruction ISA, multilinear STARK, and logup lookup capabilities.
