Aave User Experiences Significant Loss Due to Slippage Warning

On March 15, a user exchanged $50 million USDT for AAVE through the Aave interface, resulting in a significant loss due to ignoring a slippage warning. According to PANews, the user received only approximately $36,000 worth of AAVE, losing nearly $50 million. Aave clarified that the exchange occurred via the third-party platform CoW Swap, and the core Aave protocol was not affected. In response, Aave plans to introduce a new feature, Aave Shield, which will automatically block exchanges with a price impact exceeding 25%.
