UK FCA Proposes Crypto Regulation Draft Targeting Stablecoins and Trading Platforms

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has unveiled a proposal for crypto regulation, aiming to address stablecoins, staking, and trading platforms. According to NS3.AI, this draft is a precursor to a more comprehensive bill expected by October 2027. The consultation period for the proposal is open until June. Bill Hughes from Consensys noted that the draft's language might require many crypto businesses to seek FCA authorization.
