According to Odaily, Virgin Voyages has announced the introduction of a new 'Annual Pass' program starting in 2025, marking a significant step as it becomes the first cruise line to accept cryptocurrency payments. The company revealed in a recent blog post that it will accept Bitcoin as a payment method for this new service. The standard prepaid cost for each cruise is set at $120,000, excluding taxes and fees. However, there is currently no indication of whether Virgin Voyages plans to expand its cryptocurrency payment options in the future. The Annual Pass will offer unlimited cruise travel within a year on a first-come, first-served basis. This initiative was developed following the success of the company's 'Season Pass' program, which primarily targeted remote workers.
