Fed Governor Advocates Direct Regulation Of Stablecoins

According to PANews, Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller emphasized the need for U.S. regulators to directly address the risks associated with stablecoins. He stated that stablecoins would benefit from regulatory oversight and could potentially enhance the global role of the U.S. dollar. Waller also suggested that both banks and non-bank entities should be permitted to issue stablecoins.
